My car loves to stall out!Whats wrong?

I have a 2000 impala 3.4 when the car is started cold it cranks up no problem.But when the engine is warm the car will stall out.I found that if i lightly press on the gas it prevents the car from stalling then right when the battery light goes off i release and am fine.And randomly ill stall out at toll booths and lights periodically anybody gone through this before?

IAC valve....

Agreed. Possibly Fuel Pressure Regulator too. But I'd lean more on the IAC.

And Sometimes the idle is really high where it feels like its on cruise control pretty scary.Should i clean or replace the IAC anybody know where its located under the hood

Definitely IAC. It's on the side of the throttlebody above the Throttle Positioning Sensor. Prepare to remove the screws with channel locks. You'll see why when you look at it.

Also, save yourself some headaches and replace the screws when you remove them.
