Unplugged the pass lock sensor

So my girlfriends grandmas car wouldn't start so I took the ignition out then the lock cylinder and took out the pass lock sensor and it's starts every time now. Can I leave it like this? Or should it not be unplugged? The security light is on all the time now. Thanks

If the light doesn't bother her then I wouldn't worry about it. However I don't have a good knowledge of passlock systems so take it with a grain of salt Lol
