Radiator flush

Any tips on how to properly remove all the water from a 2001 impala? Bought the car and didn't't have any coolant just filled with water. I wanna add the proper coolant, and saw on some videos that distilled water should be used to drain. What hose do I remove to drain it complete or most of it. Motor is 3.4
Thanks in advance.

And should I add some antifreeze during this process?

If the car is filled with ONLY water just drain the radiator completely, then refill the radiator with pure(100%)coolant not 50/50, run/drive the car so everything circulates well(heater on hot)till operating temp is reached. Stop car let cool completely, test coolant with tester and adjust from there if too strong drain some out add water if too weak drain some add coolant.

Try to shoot for -10 to -15 is plenty.

There is a drain plug on the bottom driver side of the radiator; it may be very hard to get out. Sometimes taking the lower hose off of the radiator is easier.
