Looks good!

In regards to your 'pop.' I don't have that in mine and I also have the Bose system. Gotta be something else.

I don't know what the "pop" might be then. It isn't very noticeable, and I've tried it with two headunits. It only seems to happen now when I start the car from ACC. If I start the car immediately, I don't hear it. Only if I go to ACC, let the radio start up, then crank it.

I'm starting to think if it isn't gonna blow anything in my system I'd probably just leave it.

I would guess your POP is related to the Head Unit. The problem is that not everyone that has these units are going to be running the same... Here is why I say this.. One unless it came from ROSEN or a Store and it was running NEW OUT OF BOX then it could be that everything is running as ROSEN meant it to...

When it comes used and in (DOn't know type condition) it could be that the Reseller has bought Truck load of these units that were in a need of repair. They then do some testing and find that maybe your unit everything worked besides the lead to turn on the AMP and was why it was where it was.... Then someone maybe even the reseller took unit and found that it needed a part. Lets say the part was abc-something. They had abx-something. Now the x maybe not the right part but is good enough to make unit work.

Now lets look at another thing... It could be that the unit is all good but when you start the unit and then turn you car over that time it took to start the car was just short of enough time for the CAP in the turn on lead to not discharge fully so when the car starts and the power is restored to the HU it makes a pop...

IF it does it every time you start the car.. with or without waiting for the HU to power up first. Then it could be a bad lead. I would do some more testing... If it only does it when you turn the car to acc and let the HU start, Then start he car it could be just as stated above, Don't let it start before you start your car...

If it is something that Bothers you because it is doing it all the time you could run a Relay, Put a Resistor and a Cap in place in your turn on lead, or to buy a part that PAC has built for a issue as you may have, (called PAC TR7..) It is a Great product and has many uses but this just happens to be one of them.... The Price is between 24 and 35 give or take....

Hey James,

Thanks for your response! The pop used to bother me, but I've gotten used to it now. I'm not very electronically inclined, so maybe you or someone else can answer this question for me... The pop, will it be an issue if I just leave it? It doesn't really bother me anymore. And it seems to only occur when I go to ACC then start.

I'll still look into the TR7, thanks!

In Short, Ran 2 years with a High end Pioneer HU to 4 Amps and DSP without an issue. Always working on other peoples cars. Didn't like working on mine lol... At the time I looked at it as I picked up a year old top of the line deck for 15 and 6 in parts. It was 2 model higher then mine. So I said I will just live with the Pop... Just before a whole new system install I did add a Relay to delay the turn on so I could avoid the pop.. After that it was only a few months I did a whole new system and didn't need the relay anymore...

Now they have that PAC item to do a wide line of things. One can make the POP go away... Installed it a few times on clients cars. Not that you have to, Just some people had some major power going to the speakers and if they didn't remember to turn down the HU before they turned it off. May not like the POP

Anyone ever connect their laptop to their Rosen 1010? Were you able to explore directories as you would if you connected a flashdrive to your laptop?

I wish I had found this thread earlier. Just ordered my Rosen 1010 from memory-u on eBay. I hope there are no issues with it but oh well. Tons of good info on here. You guys rock. I'll be posting pics of my 2014 limited LTZ and the first of many mods/upgrades.

Hey guys, when you stream Bluetooth music through the Rosen from your phone, for example through Spotify, does song information appear on the screen?

Skvo67 good move! Pretty much everybody has had success with buying from Memory-U. Just remember god forbid you get a bad unit he's real good about exchanging it. Hey for the price why wouldn't you want this radio in your car?

So an update to my purchase from memory-u. The unit came packed very well with the Bose wiring harness and GPS antenna. Much to my dismay as I unwrapped the head unit a "connector" fell out. It looks like an RCA connector next to the GPS antenna has been cut. . I haven't had a chance to start the install, and I've already emailed memory-u, but was wondering if it's just a line out, as it looks like, or if this is something else. I've been searching for a diagram to help figure it out but figured this would be a better way since there are several experts on here. I have attached a picture. I'm going to work on the install tonight. I took the back plate off and the wire runs inside to a circuit board. If need be I can take the unit apart and replace the wire from a donor. Just don't want to mess with it if I don't have to.

I may be wrong but I believe it's the plug for the Sirius harness

On the plus side I was able to get some trim panels from my local junk yard that look like the carbon fiber ones TeeRev has in his. I got the complete dash and radio panels for $25. They're in great shape and don't have the old man fake "woodie" look like the car came with. Bad news is the door trim panels are going to be a pain to remove and replace and there was no shifter trim. I'll post pics soon.

Well I'm the guy that sold TeeRev his trim so I can help you out. You got to remove the door pannel and then you will see some plastic rivets most of them you can just take a medium sized screwdeive and just push in the hole and twist around until the rivet brakes off. some rivets won't have the hole so you can take a olfa knife and cut in a star pattern until you can stick a screw driver in there and pry it off. And then if will come off with a bit of tape of left over and you can just attach it with hot glue to the new pannel.
