Reverse light wire

Hi I have a 2002 impala ls 3.8. I am installing a rearview backup camera and I can't find out which wire is the reverse lights wire. I found the reverse light relay on the passenger side of the vehicle but I can't get it out or figure out the color. I'm trying to connect this wire ASAP as I'm going out if town in a couple days. Please help. Thanks

I would think that the single lite green wire would be the one but i can't say for sure.
On the wire dia it shows on down the wire to the rear a connection point called S901 where the wire splits into two wires for the left and right lamps.
You might be able to do a test for 12volt at that connection and then back trace the wire.
Does the car have a electromic mirror ?
it shows in the cir a dark blue wire from the BCM to the back up relay that runs the mirror and back up lamps.
As the options add on the wire dia change.

U know what. I think the other lite green wire that's twisted with another wire, I think the other wire is a dark blue. So if that's the case does that mean the single lite green wire is the one I need?

If car has a electromic mirror
it shows in the cir a dark blue wire from the BCM to the back up relay that runs the mirror and back up lamps.
From the relay out there would be power to the mirror and backup lights.
test that wire with a digital volt meter for 12 volt when in reverse and see if thats 12 volts.

i know this is rediculous but i have no way of testing the wires. but there is only 2 lite green wires and one of them is twisted and the other one is not. does anyone happen to know if its the twisted lite green wire or the lite green wire that isnt?

Go to an electrical store and ask for a small connector that allows you to tap into a wire. I will take a picture of what I mean tomorrow if you don't get to it then. What this does is allow you to tap the wires power without having to cut the wire so you can test it before you splice into it.

A light green as the wire leaves the right hand inside fuse junction block.
that is where the relay and 10 amp fuse for the back up light are located.
so look for the light green wire leaving the back of fuse block.

The dark blue wire from the relay gets to energize the relay when the key is in the run and in reverse.
