new HID's coming soon

Well according to USPS.com my HID kit should be here this week! but my question is all the impala's have DRL's and when you press the unlock button on the key fob the hi beams come on, (i bought HID's for my hi's btw) from what i have been reading it's either pull the relay or by BBEngineer's 75.00 DRL bypass harness. I don't really wanna burn up the ballast or bulbs when pressing the unlock button on my remote or anything like that. NAIOA has alot of mixed info on the matter but doesn't really have any clear answers or solutions. so those of you with HID's, what have you been doing about this?

I know that you can disable the lights flashing when the key fob hits lock/unlock by the radio controls.. same thing with the chirp of the horn

But that doesn't answer the drl question.. you may get a light out message, to fix that then yes, the BBEnginerring harness is your best bet.. but what I read, there's no point in HID brights because they take a few mins to get to full brightness

Why would you buy HID's for your hi beams?

If you cover the sensor, wouldn't it be "dark" all the time so the headlights would always be on and radio always dim? The best bet I would say is to disable the flash when you lock/unlock. That's with the radio, pm me if you need help.

just figured out the light sensor cover thing is for 2000-2003 models only, thats when the DRL's where in the high beams not the lows, in 04-05 the lows are the DRL's. but thanks wally i think im gonna disable the fob lights with the radio and if worst comes to worst ill just have to get the bypass kit from NAIOA.

Aw man, your drls are in the outsides? Yes best bet is to cover the sensor or the bypass.. but since I have my halos, I want to disable the drls (2003) I've tried covering the sensor with no luck.. let me know how it goes for you...
And for the quad headlamps, it is really easy, seriouslly 10 mins an you're done, if I can find my write up I will gladly post it for you... you just need a relay, and 4 female wire ends an crimpers
