8000k or 10000k HID
I have an 08 black impala and was wondering which you would recommend, for the best HID lights?? Either 8000k or 10000k. I dont want the 6000k, i think that they are too white for me. Want blue, but not too blue and still be able to see at night time.....What do you guys think?

![]() I have 35W 6K because that is what everybody was getting when I was looking and seemed happy with them. I am really happy with mine, but might go a little lower if I had to get new ones. __________________ 2009 Impala SS (sold 3/2012); 2010 Buick Enclave CXL; 2010 Lincoln MKS AWD Twin Turbo, Livernois Motor Sports tuned, Airaid CAI, 0-60 in 4.47 seconds "Trying Times Are Not a Good Time To Quit Trying" |

35w 6k's all the way. The public should be allowed to smash any cars head lights with 10k's. They are the most obnoxious worthless pieces of shit ever made. My girls car had them when I bought it and they were terrible for light output, but great for blinding people!
I've got 6k lows and 4500's fogs and they're a great mix. |

I was thinking, the original question is like asking: should I eat 8 roofing nails or 10 roofing nails? I suppose, the best answer is 8.

35w 6k all the way. That's what u got and love em. Even though my headlights are tinted they still shine. Can't wait to get new headlights with clear lenses to really see what they got.

ive been running 6k good lite in rain etc. dont drive in snow so i wouldnt know about that, also the higher number in the lite spectrum in certain weather condition gets absorbed if i read that info on this correctly, and they look like sh*t anyway see so mean ricers with them along with there fart pipe mufflers totally clueless , let not forget if your stock wiring harness can handle it

6000K is as high as I would go. They look good and give out pretty good light output. Go any higher than that and it not only looks stupid, it serves no purpose because the light output is awful. You may also start having problems with law enforcement because of the color.
Any vehicle that I see with blue lights while I'm working gets stopped and usually gets a ticket for colored headlights. Its common sense. |
