Bowtie Removal
I am looking to debadge my car, and I know that the model name, flexfuel badge and dealer sticker are all held on with adhesive, but how is the bowtie attached? If is is held on with adhesive, are there posts sticking into the body that would leave holes when I remove it?

True for all badges. Just a note, not true for the body side molding option from the factory - riveted on.

Good point Todd.
THere are a number of threads explaining proper badge removal. To sum it up, apply gentle heat with blow dryer (not needed in summer), use fishing line or floss to slice the tape from behind without scratching paint. Remove remaining adhesive with finger nail/goo gone/ goof off __________________ SPACE FOR RENT |

I use a plastic putty knife/bondo spreader, followed by a 3M eraser wheel - took me less than 5 minutes to remove Impala letters including taking drill out and putting it away. Zero hard manual labor, no sticky residue to work with.

Yeah on the second picture, I was messing around with the focus, but I thought it came out sort of interesting looking. I didn't take any pictures of the front because I'm working on blacking out the chrome trim, and one of the pieces wasn't even on the car. Hopefully, those and the window trim are next.

That they would. I wonder how much of a pain it would be to find the trim bar on my trunk in my body color...
