How are HIDs?
Hey, this is really a topic I dont know much about, just from reading around is pretty much all Ive even heard of them.
But my bright switch in my car doesnt click to keep the brights on so I have to hold it for them to work. which I dont really want to do if I need the brights, so I wanted to put pretty bright head light in and heard good things about HIDs. I have an 03 LS would there be any wiring modifications Id need to do for these to work? And I was thinking 10000k looking at the diagrams of colors, or should I go lower? |

CAI and exhaust must be the most asked questions ever, with HID quickly running to join them. As I understand it around 6000 whatever it is measured in, is the optimum for good lighting. Dont buy too cheap, follow the instructions and there will be light. Use the search function.

Don't install HIDs in your brights. HIDs in your lows will supersede your brights anyway, I never use my high beams except for flashing someone for whatever reason. |

Yeah but you (we) have 06+, so brights don't override lows. ie. Both are on at the same time.

Please do because I am confused. I have HID lows. When I turn on my non-HID hi beams, they go on and the low beam HIDs stay on as well. We are talking about 06+ here, right? Or wrong? Ypu have an 08 LT, right?

Lol, I drive a 92 Caprice. We also own an 08 LT bone stock and Itll stay that way until it gets traded back in.
But my wiring diagram is written up for a 98+ s10. If your low beams do not stay on with your highs the schematic will still work, just the s10 grille isnt the same. |
