Looking for 9C1/9C3 front brake cool scoops

Hi to all,

looking to acquire the 9C1's front brake's bumper scoop's (cold air duck's). All I found are the LTZ front fog light's scoop's.

Did two laps on a road course, and front brake was overheating. I read in A police test report, that with the scoops, under severe conditions, it helps the Impala to stop %7 shorter. I'm more interested in cooling the front rotors. The rear power stop (taxi/police type) rotors are holding perfectly.

Once I have the scoops, I may go with the GM full rotor (not drilled) and the OEM police pads (or the top cop pads from power stop).

Thanks in advance

I think papasmurf had a set but might have sold them , I'm not sure.

Look for his parting out thread after selling his SS.

But yeah, I've looked for them , found the bezels eliminated the fog lights, so I gave up on the idea.

The bezels were still available, the ducts were not, unless you find a dealer that is sitting on a set.

Also just for reference. The p/ns for the fog light bezel for the police package:
RH: 20959871
LH: 20959870

I found all of these here: GRILLE. Radiator Grille. BRAKE SYSTEM/COOLING DUCT; GRILLE/RADIATOR for Chevrolet Impala (2012 - 2014). #20959871

Fair warning, for some reason the bezel p/ns reference parts which say "w/ fog lamps" but the image clearly shows no fog lamp... so idk what that's all about. Additionally it shows bits and pieces to attach the ducts to the car, but only lists the p/n for one of the three. May need those for install, may be able to make do without.

When these come in please let us know how fitment goes! If it goes well I'll probably get a set for myself as well. I seem to be flying through brakes....

If you were a bit closer I'd see if I could come pick those up from you lol. You're a good 4 hours from me so not quite worth the drive.

As for fitment issues, I have an aftermarket bumper as someone before me was in an accident with the vehicle. So honestly who knows if they'd fit.
My fog lights aren't quite mounted correctly in the bezels as a result of poor installation (they're in there using one point instead of 2 or 3). Meaning I can push on them and they rotate inwards. Quality.

I want to bring up how there seems to be a cut-off where early Gen 8 bezels seem to not fit well into later Gen 8 fascias.

I remember a thread within the last couple months about chrome fog light bezels and a member here tried to use the application of around '05-'12, IIRC, and they did not fit his Limited or '13, I'm not sure what exact year his car was.

I just remember there being some difference in opening shape and the chrome fog light bezels that he bought thinking they were going to fit.

I don't know if there is a police specific fascia, and I don't have personal experience with this issue, but I was curious about the mod and followed his thread, but it didn't end well for his late model Gen 8 and the early years applications they listed for them.

This could be that the aftermarket pieces weren't true to form, I don't know, but something is up with bezel fitment from early to late models.

Maybe there are different part numbers for the early and late bezels that are not common knowledge, as almost no one ever does a mod or change theirs.
