Aftermarket Parts--08SS
New owner of a 2008 Impala SS. Very happy with it thus far minus the wheel spin but I was wondering if anyone knew of a company that sells aftermarket parts. Such as a cold air induct, chips, etc.
Any help would be appreciated. :![]() |

Well K&N makes a cold air intake and so does cold air induction If i did it over again I would go with the cold air induction it can be found here http://coldairinductions.com/W-BodyLS4V8ColdAirBox.html The K&N can be had for $225 from Autoanything.com If you want a tune Vector motor sports offers a canned tune you can install in your car but you can't adjust it or you could go with HPtuners then you can tune your car however you want to. Also one of the first mods I would do is install some strut tower bars front and rear. If you have any questions just shoot me a PM

You might also try these guys: http://www.tunetyme.net/ I can't tell from their website if they tune the later model SS, but I think they do. They are well liked/respected in the TrailBlazer SS community and don't lock their tune. Located in NJ. I have no direct experience with them, but have heard good things from people I know and trust.

www.autoanything.com has cold air intake, performance chip, mass airflow sensor & lowering springs for 07 SS's.......i figure they'd be good for the 08 SS also(check with the dealer first) my worry would be if any of these upgrades would effect the warranties.
let me know what you think! |

http://www.intense-racing.com/ (ls4 section)
http://cartuning.ca/ IIRC the only difference between the LSx and the LS4 (5.3 in the Imp) is the crank is 13mm shorter and the accy's are moved, so any heads/valvetrain SHOULD work from a LSx engine Theres a few people doing R&D on Wbody headers for the 5.3 right now (expect those to be about $1000 until they become more popular) Stay away from chips, find someone to custom tune your PCM (ie www.getoverkilled.ca ) the piggybacks are usually overpriced garbage. Diablo makes software to tune the LS4, i think HPTuners or DHP might as well Last edited by 04DetroitLS : 06-12-2008 at 08:47 AM. |
