With a 3.6 2012 and TC off, I would expect some spinning. Simply pushing the button to disable should work. Have you tried spinning on grass or dirt? If you don't spin there, then something is wrong with your TC - meaning you should be able to shut it off, but cannot.

If you want wheel spin you will probably have to get a tune to remove the torque management too, but that would void your powertrain warranty.

I think the 3.6 should be able to spin them regardless or T management. Cannot say that for sure, but it will spin them in other 3.6 GM applications : XTS/CTS, for example.

If you hadn't just said that, I was going to suggest it was because it wasn't producing enough power off idle. I know with the dodge 3.5HO there is no spinning the tires, there just isn't any power till you get the revs up a little.

As GM shoots for higher MPG numbers every year they will limit the amount of power and when it is applied. Of course on the performance models they will allow you a little more power but for their bread and butter models such as the Implala they are going for the most MPG. Drive by wire was not developed to save money by not making throttle cables it was designed so you have little input in how the car drives. Enough of my rant on GM's take over of my control over what my car does. LOL sorry guys I don't care much for drive by wire.

I am really surprised to read this one. Mine spins whenever I really get into it. Rain or dry. The traction control limits the spin, but it will always rip em at least a little way.

^^ I have found that as well in some cars. Don't know if it is Torque management or what......
