Since it's an 07 it should still be under warranty. Take it to the dealer and tell them to fix the problem.

Is there an unusal noise coming from the steering pump? Check for a fluid leak. Is the resivor filled to the proper level? As new as this car is you should not have any leaks. Do have the dealer check it out. It is rare for a powersteering pump to go out this fast.

I have an '06 and started to hear a wining sound after 18k. I found out that my Power steering fluid was unusually low! WTH?! Are they not filling these things up? I did not seem to have any leaks. Hopefully by now you have resolved this issue.

With DV06LTZ's information it would be a good idea to check ALL the fluids on the cars even if bought new from the Dealership. That is sad that the manufactor did not fill up the power steering pump all the way as they should have.
