2000 impala 3.8L 3:05 ratio trans LBB OR LPB??

how do i figure out if car is supposed to have LBB or LPB trans, car currently does not have a transmission in it and i am not able to locate the trans that came out of it so the trans ID plate is not an option, and dealership was not helpful

i did figure out its an f83 code car and has the 3:05 ratio trans, car was MFG 3/2000 according to door sticker,

i do have the vin:
2G1WH55K4Y9313928

also, is there a way these can be interchanged? if so how expensive is it for the pCM reflash, ect...

Should be able to look it up by the VIN, but I'm not sure where online you can use.

Also, you can interchange them. The PCM flash isn't too expensive. If you find someone local they may do it for $50. If not you can get an OTS tune from one of the vendors for around 100 bucks. They can put in the new ratio, and you'll get some other goodies as well

i really would rather not go the pcm reflash i was hoping to just swap in the correct trans, any other ideas?
