not shifting to 3rd automatically help please
hey guys long time no see , well im having an issue with my 2000 9c1 , well the other day i replaced my mounts , the same night while driving to work i noticed it wasnt changing into 3rd , shifting from 1st to 2nd was fine , but from 2nd to 3rd it was taking a while , i was at 40mph when i finally let go the gas pedal then it finally shifted normally , now its continuing to do it all the time , when i have some time off im getting a diagnostic ,can any scan tool detect the trouble codes from the trans ? it was shifting normal before i did the mounts , i even checked any wires going into the trans and they where fine , can anyone give me suggestions please thank you

 And yes, you can pretty much take it to any reputable trans shop and they can do a scan while driving to see what's going on. If you're planning on modding your car like you've been talking, and the shop says you need a rebuild, spend the money and send it to Triple Edge Performance. ok cool , yeah i sent him a few emails already so you suggest i go to him ? better than thrasher or zzp? i just want it done by the right person thats all , im going to spend the extra cash to get it done that i dont have to worry about any transmission work when i put more mods into the car.im even thinking just taking the trip out there to have it done by him.

I haven't heard too much about Thrasher so I can't say much. As far as ZZP goes, I'm boycotting their parts until they stop grenading input shafts. TEP Dave is an awesome guy. He's going to be doing my trans this winter.

yeah i spoke to him also , yeah im picking him so im hoping by feburary im taking the trip out there to get a build , right now i cant do nothing because my wife is pregnant and i need to stay nearby just in case , but once the baby is out im heading out there. hey thanx for the help

no problem i will keep you posted. it will probably be sooner than you think . i would have to stay out there for a day or 2 i guess. but i m making the straight 12 hour run over there.
