do i need to take off the water pump to change the cap/rotor?

On a stock motor (94-96) you need to remove serpentine belt, harmonic balancer, the air pump and bracket and then go about removing the water pump to get to the cap. Read other posts here regarding what brands to NOT use. While your in there, replace the seals for water pump,opti and crank.
