I want to give everyone an early heads-up for our annual car show, WeSSt CoaSSt Gathering 5 will be held on 18-20 September in Las Vegas. SSin City SS and Cali-SS will partner to host this great event. We had a great time last year and I can guarantee this year will be even better.

We will provide additional information as we get it firmed up hotel/agenda/etc.) and will post here and on our website (http://www.ssincityss.com). So stay tuned for updates.

Nothing beats SSin City in September! Come on out for fun, food, friends, and a great gathering of B-Bodies!

Looking forward to seeing everyone in September!

Cecil will be taking the day off to drive out and add another impala to the cruise, he,myself and a few others will be meeting at my shop before trying to meet up with everyone from the LA area so we can have a hell of a long line of b-bodies. As for Vegas, im in this year. George is doing better and I can start hanging out again without much worry about the shop.

#13 ·
OK, have you informed Dave or Barry to add you guys to the list?

Great news about you coming to Vegas for WCG5!! We look forward to seeing you here.

#15 ·
Also Ed Sato. He has been there with us a few times. Found the pics from the very first WCG event. I encourage everyone that can to attend this wonderful event. Lots of fun and great people.....imagine a whole park reserved just for our community with streets closed off so we have tons of room to park on the grass and streets around the park. Very cool stuff.

#16 ·
Well said! WCG is a great time, it is a three day event, great food, cars, and friends. I will post more information on the event as we get things together.

Jim

#22 ·
My wife and I are gonna try to attend.

I tried to register at their website...

I for one would LOVE to go and have
a few days to meet and hang out
with my B-Body Brethren!
Yes, we are having a few IT problems. We hope to get it fixed real soon, then you will be able to register on our website and get the updates. I will continue to post here and keep everyone up to speed. Really looking forward to seeing everyone here this year.

RoadMonster, I've seen your car on the forums many times, looking forward to seeing it in person, that is a bad ass ride!

Jim

Roadmonster, if you're willilng to drive down to Vegas, RODarama will be in Sacramento again this year, sometime in June. Not trying to take anything away from the Vegas guys- they do a great job- but why not come to two events? We may not have a strip of casinos, but we do have a couple of pretty good Indian ones!

If not, and you take I-5 through Sac, let me know. I'd love to check out your Roadmaster.

UPDATE:

The Silverton hotel & casino (3333 Blue Diamond Rd) will be our host hotel, last year we got great feedback from everyone who stayed there (except for a "minor" issue Thump had). Normally, we contract out the rooms for the event, but last year we signed the contract for room rates of $109 and no one used that option. Everyone found better room rates (some as low as
$59!) using the internet searches. We tried to get the hotel to drop their rates to the internet ones, but they would not do it. Unlike some car show events at other places in the country where reserving 30-40 rooms at a hotel is a big deal to them, reserving that many rooms at a Las Vegas hotel casino is not a big deal to the hotel. For this year just use the web searches to get your rooms, I have included some below:

Yahoo travel - $83
http://ach.travel.yahoo.net/hotel/HotelPolygon.do; jsessionid=4581E6C110DF43F
609E392C9B8DB93A0.p0705?showMap=0&opaqueTabSelecte d=0
VegasVeiw.com - $84
http://www.vegasview.com/hotels/availability.aspx? hotelID=122&cacheRateID=11
355129
Hotels.com - $89
Expedia.com - $89
Travelocity.com -
http://travel.travelocity.com/hotel/HotelPolygon.d o;jsessionid=0D43E541F6B7B
F6C1C513F90838123EE.p0756?showMap=0&opaqueTabSelec ted=0
Search:
http://vacation.away.com/plan-a-trip/compare-rates.html?type=hotel&utm_sourc
e=orbitz&utm_medium=crpopunder&utm_content=hotel&u tm_campaign=looking
Silverton.com - http://www.silvertoncasino.com/main/display_rates. cfm

These are just suggestions, some of you are real good at searching on the web for this tyoe of stuff.

We will have the registration available on our website (ssincityss.com) very soon.

I guarantee you will have a blast. It is not about how great your car looks, it is more about getting all B-Body people together and having fun. You will meet a lot of great people from all over the states, hanging out talking, sharing ideas, of course a lot of crap talking too:biggrin:
